So one night while working, me and a co-worker set out back home between 8 and 12 the evening. With no cars nearby, behind or infront nor any buildings to give light. We drove up a small incline in the road. A green flash appeared, bright and fast, blindingly bright for just a second and it was gone. Now i want to know what can be the cause of this? I live in South Africa FYI.

The likely explanation is that you might have seen a meteor. The green glow could be attributed to the chemical composition of the meteor itself.
